Hi, luv your site and luv the info! I adopted a grey American Shorthair from our local Humane Society in June 2011. She is beautiful with light green eyes-luv her. I treated her for an ear infection with ear drops and she got a steroid shot. The ear infection has cleared but she is still biting at her skin-not consistently but enough to let you know it does bother her some. I've been coating her food with fish oil just the last wk. It does seem to be helping some. Right now she's on Hills Science Diet Veterinarian Recommended cat food. She looks and acts like any other cat otherwise. I'm concerned about her biting at her skin. I'm thinking of trying Blue for cats or the Newmans Own-something more natural, grain free, soy and very low carbs and maybe the canned food that's got more moisture for her skin and maybe mix the two?? Any suggestions? My vet wanted me to give her antihistimine pills every 12 hrs. I'm thinking it's the food from what I've been reading on the internet. What do you think? Thank you so much for having this site available!
Thank you,
