Addiction brand dog food is manufactured by Addiction Foods Pte Ltd. Addiction Foods is based out of Singapore, Te Puke, New Zealand. The company was first founded by two people – a clinical nutritionalist and a holistic veterinarian. Since both of them saw so many pets suffering from allergies to common pet food ingredients, they vowed to create a pet food that could provide complete nutrition to pets with food allergies. The company has been rapidly expanding over the past several years, due to the exotic nature of many of the ingredients found in Addiction brand dog food formulas. Addiction Foods currently manufactures dry, canned and dehydrated food, as well as treats.

There are currently eight different dry dog food formulas in the Addiction product line. The main sources of protein in these formulas include lamb, venison, salmon, pork and wild kangaroo. None of these formulas contain by-products,

- Addiction Viva La Venison Puppy is designed with venison meat, and can be fed to puppies less than one year of age. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 28% protein and 24% fat.
- Addiction Le Lamb Puppy is formulated with lamb meat, and can be fed to puppies less than one year of age. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 26% protein and 16% fat.
- Addiction Salmon Bleu Puppy is formulated with salmon, and can be fed to puppies less than one year of age. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 28% protein and 14% fat.
- Addiction Viva La Venison is made with New Zealand Venison, and can be fed to all adult dogs that are over one year of age. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 26% protein and 14% fat.
- Addiction Le Lamb is made with New Zealand Lamb, and can be fed to all adult dogs that are over one year of age. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 22% protein and 12% fat.
- Addiction Salmon Bleu is made with Pacific Salmon, and can be fed to all adult dogs that are over one year of age. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 24% protein and 13% fat.
- Addiction Wild Kangaroo & Apples is made with real wild kangaroo meat, and can be fed to all adult dogs that are over one year of age. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 22% protein and 8% fat.
- Addiction La Porchetta is made with protein-rich pork, and can be fed to all adult dogs that are over one year of age. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 23% protein and 13% fat.

Most customer reviews about Addiction brand dog food are very positive. Many dog owners like the holistic ingredients, as well as the exotic protein sources. Addiction brand dog food seems to be suitable for dogs with allergies, since the formulas are free of many common allergens. The main complaint of many consumers was that Addiction dog food is fairly hard to find in most pet supply stores.

I bought a can of the Unagi (eel) & Seaweed Entrée for my dog to try and he loved it…but had a great deal of trouble keeping the cats away. The cats usually have no interest in the dog’s food so this was new and hilarious to watch them press into the dog’s bowl while he tried to eat. So I got the same thing in the canned cat food for them and now they are ALL happy, happy, happy! You can tell by the smell that it’s good quality food. Only wish the price was lower so I wouldn’t have to use it as sparingly.
We are really stuggling here–I soooo hope you don’t discontine the Addiction canned Brushtail and Vegtable. I feed this and the dehyrated Summer Brushtail. Since January my dog has been allergy riddled free, healthy and happy. He had been off the canned now and trying your other canned foods unsuccessfully for 1 1/2 weeks. He has a very upset tummy –please get this great food back out there!
