EVOLVE DOG FOOD

Evolve brand dog food formulas are produced and marketed by Triumph Pet Industries. Triumph Pet Industries started in 1947, during WWII. At that time, Fred Bostick Jr. and Omer J. Bullen founded Sunshine Mills, Inc. which was a corn meal company. The first pet food formula that the company manufactured was an experimental mixture in a wheelbarrow, made of corn flakes and pork cracklings. It wasn’t until 1967 until the company officially entered the pet food business. In 2007, Sunshine Mills, Inc became the distributor of three dog food brands – Hi-Tor, Triumph and Evolve.

EVOLVE DOG FOOD REVIEW

Evolve brand dog food formulas are primarily based around meat meals and rice ingredients. In some cases, there is a meat ingredient listed among the first five ingredients (such as “chicken” or “lamb), though it could be argued since this is a real meat ingredient, it contains a large percentage of water. In some cases, this would mean that the main ingredient in some of these formulas is a carbohydrate. Many of Evolve’s formulas contain flaxseed, which is a source of fiber. Spinach is also included in many formulas. Beet Pulp Fiber is a moderate source of fiber, though some dog nutritional experts claim that it has low digestibility.

Sunshine brand dog foods are terrible. I have visited the Red Bay, Alabama plant and they have need to upgrade their facilities. I spoke with one employee from their World Pet Treats factory that stated they have had cases of samonila in the back of the plant where the slurry is made for their treats. They also seem to work all illegal immigrants. Will never waste my money on their products again.

Love the product so far and so does my 18 month old 50 lb shepherd mix ( it is difficult to find but ingredients are great )…..I was feeding her Blue Buffalo but she truly appeared to lose interest and she LOVED the small bites of the Evolve chicken AND it costs half as much and honestly seems to have at least the same quality ingredients, if not better. I don’t want to put down BB but their customer service is really really bad and I hope they work on it. If my baby girl ever runs into any allergy probs from Evolve for whatever reason, I’ll head over to Natural Balance if only for their customer service over the BB folks……………..
That’s my 2 cents and have raised 4 dogs since 1991 and am a total dog lover…God bless ya !

I bought this in a grocerty store called SweetBay, and it is very good.

My dog loves it, and without the corn and wheat she has stopped digging and itching so much.

I wish I had seen it sooner.
