Chicken Meal: Chicken Meal is an excellent protein source. Unlike the ingredient “Chicken”, the water content has been removed from this ingredient. The AAFCO definition is the following: "Chicken which has been ground or otherwise reduced in particle size."

Wheat Flour : Wheat is believed to be the number one dog food ingredient that causes allergies within dogs. Wheat flour is a grain fragment.

Ground Whole Wheat: Wheat is believed to be the number one dog food ingredient that causes allergies within dogs.

Corn Gluten Meal: This ingredient is mainly used to “hold” the food together. Corn Gluten is a cheap, low quality ingredient. Basically anything left over during the human processing falls into this ingredient. The current aafco definition of Corn Gluten is:” The dried residue from corn after the removal of the larger part of the starch and germ, and the separation of the bran by the process employed in the wet milling manufacture of corn starch or syrup, or by enzymatic treatment of the endosperm.”

Rice Bran: Rice Bran is a by-product of Rice. Although Rice Bran doesn't offer the Nutrition Value Rice does, its not considered to be a bad ingredient. The current AAFCO definition for Rice Bran is the following:” the pericarp or bran layer and germ of the rice, with only such quantity of hull fragments, chipped, broken, or brewer's rice, and calcium carbonate as is unavoidable in the regular milling of edible rice."

I have had to switch my dog’s food 4 times in the last 6 weeks because of availability issues. I was giving her The Goodlife Recipe, but now I cannot find it anywhere. I switched her to Iam’s Natural, but the last two times I have went to get dog food they have been sold out, and are apparently having shipping issues, because they are out everywhere. So this last time I bought Beneful and she was fine with all the different dog foods until I brough home Nutro Max Adult Dog Food. She woke up with diarrhea after the first time she ate it. The next day she threw up all afternoon and night. And today she won’t touch it. She has never had a sensitive stomach, she has always been fine with whatever I gave her, until now. And now I’m stuck with a $25 bag of dog food that won’t get eaten and have to go buy more. And the food even says easy to digest and sensitive on stomachs. Not Happy!!!
