Precise brand dog food is manufactured by Texas Farm Products. Texas Farm Products also produces Lone Star, Star Pro, Precept and ANF pet foods. None of the Precise brand dog food formulas have ever been involved in any pet food recalls.
PRECISE DOG FOOD REVIEW
Precise dog food formulas are generally available under two product lines: Precise, and Precise Plus. Precise Plus is designed to be of slightly higher quality than regular Precise, with unique “wholesome” ingredients. Precise dog food formulas do not contain any chemical preservatives.
PRECISE DOG FOOD FORMULAS
- Precise Plus Puppy Formula can be fed to puppies under one year of age. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 32% protein and 18% fat.
- Precise Plus Adult is suitable for all adult dogs. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 26% protein and 16% fat.
- Precise Plus Large Breed Adult is suitable for adult dogs of large breeds. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 24% protein and 12% fat.
- Precise Plus Lamb Meal and Sweet Potato contains lamb as one of its primary sources of protein. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 22% protein and 12% fat.
- Precise Canine Large & Giant Puppy Formula is designed to be fed to large breed puppies. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 27% protein and 16% fat.
- Precise Canine Small & Medium Puppy Formula is designed for small to medium breed puppies. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 29% protein and 19% fat.
- Precise Canine Chicken Meal & Rice Foundation Formula contains chicken meal among its first five ingredients. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 24% protein and 14% fat.
- Precise Canine Chicken Meal & Rice Formula contains chicken meal among its first five ingredients. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 25% protein and 15% fat.
- Precise Canine Light Formula is a lower fat formula designed for overweight dogs. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 18% protein and 7% fat.
- Precise Canine Competition Formula is designed for show dogs, or dogs that receive constant exercise. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 26% protein and 16% fat.
- Precise Canine Endurance Formula is suitable for highly active adult dogs. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 30% protein and 20% fat.
- Precise Canine Lamb Meal & Rice Sensicare Formula is designed for dogs that have sensitive digestive systems, or food-based allergies. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 22% protein and 12% fat.
- Precise Canine Senior Formula is designed for dogs that are over seven years of age. The Guaranteed Analysis of this formula contains 18% protein and 10% fat.

I purchased Precise for my puppy as it was highly recommended by Nzymes.com. Both my dogs had extreme diarrhea. I followed directions carefully and introduced it very gradually. I took the time to contact the manufacturer. Thought it was a possibility that it was the batch. I suggested they contact me for the number on the bag. I did show interest and had questions regarding their other formulas. I was extremely disappointed that Precise did not answer my email. Because of the lack of communication I will never purchase their products again. After stopping the Precise my dogs stool returned to normal. My two dogs suffered no ill effects other then the diarrhea. Communication tells me a lot about a company.
I recently bought Precise Senior for my 5 dogs, and they love it, I got it at Lassen’s Health Food Store in Ventura ,CA. However they do not carry a bag heavier bigger than 5 lbs. i would like to purchase it in a bigger size bag. I have tried to find a store locator online, but have not been successful.
I would appreciate your help.

I have been feeding my show rottweilers Endurance Formula for the past 2 years. Up until I found this food, I could not get or keep a good weight on them since they are both so active. I used only the best kibble and only those that do not use any corn, gluten or soy in the products. Mostly I would use the holistic formulas. Glad to make the connection. Keep improving, I appreciate your efforts.
I have a curious question, I noticed that your company also sells Lone Star Hi-Pro. Would you feed this to your pet as well…. compared the higher priced Precise formula?
